Truman Day Postponed

After consultation with Sen. Doug Jones, local elected officials, and healthcare professionals the Knox County Democratic Party has decided to postpone our sold-out Truman Day Dinner and other events connected to it

With the Delta variant running rampant in our community, it became clear that hosting a max occupancy banquet would not be prudent.

We want to emphasize that we are postponing and not canceling. Senator Jones is very excited to come to Knoxville, and said he will not miss Truman Day. A rescheduled date will be announced in the future. We will hold everyone’s reservations and communicate our new date with all guests and sponsors when it is decided. If you would prefer to cancel your reservation and receive a refund or donate it to the party, please email [email protected].

MISSION: The Knox County Democratic Party exists to elect Democrats to public office in Knox County & the state of Tennessee.

Over the last 8 years, Knox County has shifted 14 points towards Democrats on the Presidential level. In the last 3 years the Knox County Democratic Party has flipped a State House seat and County Commission seat blue. KCDP is on the move contacting voters year-round, registering new voters, and growing our base. We know that Knox County will FLIP BLUE soon and we are working tirelessly for that goal. Join our volunteers, staff, leaders, candidates, and elected officials as we seek a more equal, just, and prosperous Knox County. Our vision is a Democratic majority on County Commission, in the State Legislature, and continued Democratic growth in EVERY precinct.

Now is the time!

2021 and beyond is our time! We have a chance to elect Democrats at every level of government and we need your help to win. Now, more than ever, we know that leadership matters. We deserve representatives that will fight for us! Join us in fighting to elect Democrats to County Commission, the State Legislature, the United States Congress, and the Presidency of the United States.
