We are excited to ...have Bob Zellner as our guest speaker. Bob is the son and grandson of KKK members who later joined and became the first white field secretary for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) in Mississippi, an important multi-racial organization of young people in the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. We are inviting him to talk to us about how to learn from the past to inspire the present, as well as about how he and others knew that as members of the white community, they were also not free.
