2017 Convention

KNOX COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY TO HOLD BIENNIAL REORGANIZATION CONVENTION 

The 2017 Knox County Democratic Party Biennial Reorganization convention will be held on Saturday, March 25 at 11 am at the CWA Union hall, located at 1415 Elm Street, Knoxville, 37921.  Doors open at 9 am.  Please arrive before 11 am to register, as the convention will start promptly at 11.  Officers for the party (Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer) as well as district reps will be elected to lead the party over the next two years. 

To become a delegate to the convention you must attend your district meeting where elections for precinct leaders and delegates will take place. If you are unable to attend your district meeting but still wish to be a delegate, you can send a letter to the District Representative (see http://www.knoxvilledemocrats.org/board_of_governors for a list of district reps) and Committee Chair Linda Haney or send an email to llinc@comcast.net at least four hours BEFORE the district meeting, stating that you wish to be a delegate.  Please include your name, address, phone, and precinct number.

District 5: Thursday, March 16, 2017, Rosarito's Restaurant, 210 Lovell Rd, 6:30 PM

District 6: Saturday, March 18, 2017, Karns Library, 7516 Oak Ridge Hwy, 10:30 AM

District 7: Tuesday, March 21, 2017, Powell Library, 330 W. Emory Rd, 6:15PM

District 8: Thursday, March 16, 2017, Halls Library, 4518 E. Emory Rd, 6:30PM

District 9: Monday, March 20, 2017, South Knoxville Community Center, 522 Maryville Pike, 6:30PM
